Lesson 1: Never forget the people or beings that are always there for you!

Focus on what's truly there for you, because that's what really matters.

I remember one day, during boomer's terrible 3's :-)... he decided to not act like a crazy adolescent until he turned three. Boomer jumped out of the 2nd floor of our house; and successfully got lost this time!

He had jumped out of the first floor window and it was so out of character that I simply could not believe he would do such a thing! For me someone excited him or scared him and he fell through.... Well, he was trying to get my attention! He was saying: "Hey you crazy girl, I am here look! I love you! I am here!"

The night I came home and he was not there was unreal!!! I still remember how frantic I was and that after 2 hours of looking, I had to go to bed without his 90lbs on my legs ;-)

That night, I deleted everyone form my cell phone's contact list that I did not hear from for the longest time, everyone that I was trying to prove that I was worthy of their love or friendship. i figured that if I never hear from them then, they did not value me anyway so I let them go. What mattered for me was I had just realized that I was so busy looking for something that I thought I needed or wanted, that I had completely forgotten the love, friendship, and support that Boomer gave me on a daily basis without asking for nothing else in return. All he wanted was for me to be there.

Simple hunh? It took him not being there for one night for me to realize that first care for those that are there for you because they are the most important thing. They are real!

So lesson 1: Take care of those who are REALLY there. Look at them and see them as they are your greatest treasure!
